In Galactrix, you play through a space RPG\/Puzzle Hybrid where the match 3 pattern is the battle system as in past Puzzle Quest. It captures the feel of the space adventure setting well with more going on in the space world than some full 3D games in the genre, and it has a decent enough story to boot. There are a few too many hacking puzzles for my taste and the learning curve can be a bit steep for newies in the genre, especially the first few hacks, but if you're a Sci-Fi\/Space fanatic like I am or even a remote fan of match 3 games\/Puzzle Quest in general or you're just looking for something casual to play, it's well worth a few hours.4.3\/5. I like the puzzle quests series a lot. But i don't recommend puzzle quest galactrix. Not of the gameplay\/experience which is fine by me but because it crashes after some time. Unfortunately by reading the forums i noticed more people experience this.I even read they won't patch the game. (well there will be a very small chance they will do this anyway.)So if you don't mind restarting this game several times and love the puzzle quest series, well yes worth buy it (in sale 0,99)Otherwise.. be warned..no patches... For a puzzle game, this is suprisingly addictive, after the first hour or so, this get's quite strategical and difficult.Recommend that you get all the PSI you can, while the hacking and battles are easy. I made the mistake of going for firepower and that is rarely a good thing.If you do go down the 'RUN AND GUN' method, get better weapons by selling cargo when it is green on the sell menu!GET IT NAOW. Was very disappointed that the story encounters scale to your level. Leveling up makes the game MORE difficult instead of less. The concept is there to make a good game but the execution is flawed. Never had the crashing error but it seems to be prevalent based on other reviews. Maybe I'll go back and play it all the way through one day if I'm feeling ambitious.3\/10 Would not recommend. This game constantly crashes, 3 times in 30 minutes so don't buy even for 99 cents.From what I was able to play, the game requires a much higher degree of luck than the original puzzle quest. tiles can move in from any direction based on how you move the tile - but you have no idea what the next tiles moving in will be - so it frequently feels like the AI is cheating because his random tiles just always work out for him. Other than that, when luck happens to be on your side and you are about to win, the game crashes to the desktop. Horrible game not worth 1 cent, buy a steam trading card instead.
